About the Artist

Horses have always been part of my life. I have competed in many facets of the horse industry including Show Jumping, Dressage, Endurance and Barrel Racing to name a few. But now I prefer to leave the riding to my daughter. On occasion I can still be seen riding on the A circuit but prefer to train horses. I love to see a horse grow from foal to happy, enthusiastic show horse.

I live just north of Toronto, Ontario, Canada on Lake Simcoe with my fiancé Greg and daughter Angelica.  This beautiful area is inspiring and allows for plenty of horse contact and inspiration. I work full time as a computer specialist and when not sculpting in my "free" hours can be found cycling near the lake or golfing.

I started in the model horse hobby back in the 80's and that had driven me to begin scupting.

Thanks to RESS, I was lucky to get the opportunity to take a 5 day course at the American Academy of Equine Art with Shelly Hunter on sculpting horses. It was so wonderful I went back for a second week to train with Kathleen Friedenberg. I have learned so much from both these instructors and hope to continue to learn from others as I aim towards improving my art all the time. I have met many fine artists along the way and am enjoying every step of the learning curve.

Art is an on-going learning process and a pleasure to delve into!
